St Wilfrid's Church, South Kilvington, Thirsk
YOUNG MUSICIANS - TAKE PART!
AUDIENCE - WATCH FOR FREE!
A celebration of young musical talent in the North Yorkshire region and beyond on a summer's afternoon!
Performance is critical in the journey of a young musician as it not only develops confidence, ensemble skills and communication with an audience, but it also gives the opportunity to showcase their talent, skill and (most importantly!) their hard work! De Mowbray Music are providing the setting to celebrate the hard work of young musicians from across North Yorkshire (and further afield!) and we are very excited!
We would love to have young performers of all ages and stages at our concert, to round off the academic year with a musical bang!
From beginner to diploma level, all school-aged instrumental players are very welcome to join us.
A piano will be provided, as will an accompanist, although you are very welcome to bring someone to accompany you.

Why you should get involved:
Performance opportunities are few and far between for young musicians, and we want to change that! Think about all of the hours of practise and dedication over the last academic year alone, and how many times the product of that hard work has been performed...! You may have done an exam (well done!) and perhaps an end of term concert at school or music centre (great!), but have you played a solo or small ensemble piece purely for the enjoyment of yourself and others?
Within the audience there will be professional musicians who will be around for a chat after the concert - they would love to give you some wonderful feedback and answer any questions you might have for them about their career and love of music!
Hear performances by other young musicians - be inspired by those further along in their journey, and support those who are just starting out!
De Mowbray Music is a charity whose objectives are to further music education in our region - we devote ourselves to finding ways to support YOU, so come and get involved, get to know us and see what else we have going on that YOU could be a part of!
